I am a shopaholic. If I like something I buy it. I mean the shirt I love may not be there the next time I walk into the store. Logically it would be the reasonable thing to do. So when my parents told me that we were going to spend New Years in Fabulous Las Vegas, all I saw in my mind was the four outlet stores that housed all the stores I could ever want, and deals that I would be crazy to pass up. I then realized that five days of my two-week Christmas vacation would be spent in a pure bliss state-of-mind. Nothing but new things to comfort me for the New Year. As soon as I saw the state sign of Nevada and the Primm Resorts signs that seemly greeted me with open arms, I couldn’t help but smile. All my Christmas and work income would disappear within the next few days.
This should’ve upset me knowing that all the profits from my hard work would be gone, but strangely I was rather happy with the fact. If my mom would’ve let me run to the Juicy Couture Outlet Store, I would have sprinted the whole way there not stopping for anything or anyone. I stood in front of the store filled with the best feeling in the world, or something close to it. The sign read “Save a Additional 20% off the Entire Store”. To me having already known what great deals lay ahead additional savings made my days even better. I wanted to bag the whole store up and take it home with me. But then reality struck. I picked up a pair of bright pink velour pants that were hung in between numerous other brightly colored and equally chic, then looked at the price tag with initial “sticker shock”, they were $168!!! After loosing my breath only for a brief second I then spotted the same pants next to the ones I was holding and they had a sticker that read $99. I was then calm and grabbed them. I mean I was almost getting then for half off and plus the extra twenty percent I could save, they seemed like a deal.
Around half and hour later in the same store I walked out empty handed. But before you get sad. I knew that the three outlets in Vegas could hold bigger and better deals. And I was right I walked into every Juicy with optimism and knew I would find something, and there was no need to rush. I had already spent a good chunk of change at various other stores, but Juicy is what I needed. I bought a pair of black velour pants that said Juicy Couture on them and was written in the prettiest pink I had ever seen. I felt accomplished. On the way home I wanted to stop at the Juicy store just one more time, since new merchandise may have come in and I did not want to pass a good deal up. I bought a shirt for a steal and a piggy bank that I couldn’t say no to. I have a sense I will on go back for more. So as you can tell the highlight of my vacation besides spending good times with the family and celebrating the greatest gift and holiday, shopping takes the juiciest cake. ;)
Entertaining to read, you are good at finding good steals on close especially at those high end ones. When i think of Las Vegas shopping never really came to mind, but now it does. Good Job!
